The 4K Cattle Company's history began in 1901 on a homestead in Montana. The next 120 years of cattle ranching, commitment to sustainable agriculture, healthy land preservation practices, and superior beef breeding, drove our organization to innovate and grow.
We provide a steady grass diet that cattle were designed to eat, 4K cattle live the way cattle were meant to live. They enjoy open pastures with room to roam, and graze on grass and forages at their leisure. They are never given implanted hormones, fed animal byproducts or treated with antibiotics. 4K Cattle Company producers follow the grazing techniques of Alan Savory, the grandfather of modern pasture management in America. 4K cattle are always treated with respect and handled carefully, including the use of low-stress Dr. Temple Grandin designed animal-handling systems.
